
Thomas Fox has served in the US Air Force, Mississippi National Guard, Ohio National Guard, and the US Army Reserve. He started his military career in the Air Force as an E1 (Airman Basic) and retired from the US Army Reserve AGR program as an O5 (Lieutenant Colonel).
He served as a Human Resource Officer at US Central Command, US Army Reserve Command, US Army Human Resource Command, 81st Regional Readiness Command, 316th Expeditionary Sustainment Command, 387th Replacement Battalion, and the 394th Adjutant General Company (Postal).
He has served in various positions from Platoon Leader to Assistant Chief of Staff G1. He had two deployments to Iraq and one to Qatar/Kuwait. He culminated his career as the Director of the 3d Human Resource Sustainment Center in Jackson, MS with over twenty-nine years of service.
He is currently employed by the Mississippi Veterans Affairs as a Veteran Service Officer for Alcorn, Chickasaw, Itawamba, Lee, Monroe, Pontotoc, Prentiss, Tishomingo, Tippah, and Union County.
Thomas holds a Master’s Degree in Art (Human Resource Management) from Webster University and Bachelor’s Degree in Business (Management with emphasis on Human Resources) from the University of Mississippi. His list of awards includes the following: Bronze Star, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, four Meritorious Service Medals, and the Joint Service Medal.
Thomas and his wife Rene are in the planning stages for creating a non-profit designed to provide mentoring and educational opportunities for at-risk youth through a Christ-centered ministry. The students will receive assistance with their homework and with any school work where they are struggling along with weekly exposure to music and art.
